Fiery Route 140 Crash Leaves 1 Dead
A van apparently rolled over and caught fire with the driver still inside.
One person died in a single-car crash on Route 140 in Lakeville Saturday evening.
State Police said that shortly after 6 p.m. they responded to a crash on Route 140 North. A preliminary investigation indicated a 2015 Ford Transit van rolled over and caught fire with the operator and sole occupant trapped inside.
Several motorists were able to free the driver and render emergency medical aid. He was transported to Morton Hospital in Taunton where he was pronounced dead.
