Friends of the Swansea Public Library Plant Sale

The Friends of the Swansea Public Library will be holding their annual
plant sale and raffle on the front lawn of the library Saturday, May 25th
from 9:00am to 12:00pm.  The plant sale is a wonderful time for the
community to purchase plants, share planting knowledge with others and
support the library.  Any donations of perennials, annuals,
houseplants,seedlings and gardening art or books are appreciated.  Plant
donations may be dropped off at the library located at 69 Main Street in
historic Swansea Village.  Tickets for our raffle are also on sale at the
library. . It’s Springtime on Main Street.  Come visit the
library!

The Friends of the Library are a nonprofit group whose purpose is to support and enhance the programs and services of the Swansea Public Library.  With funds raised from membership dues and various fundraisers such as the annual Plant Sale, the Friends are able to support the library and the Swansea community by providing adult and youth programs throughout the year, including museum passes to Roger Williams Park Zoo, Plimoth Plantation, and the Providence Children’s Museum, purchase equipment and furniture.
