FROM WOOL TO YARN: ALL ABOUT SPINNING

SEEKONK, MA – 10/17/2013 – Winter is the season for wool sweaters and more but have you ever wondered where it gets its start? Join us at the Seekonk Library for a hands-on presentation From Wool to Yarn: All About Spinning on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 6:30 pm.
Local artisan Martha Maynard will "unravel" the mystery of yarn making by demonstrating the craftsmanship of spinning. Come and see what it takes to spin raw wool into yarn that can be used for your craft projects. This presentation is perfect for all ages and levels of experience with yarn and textile crafts.
This program is free and open to the public, sponsored by the Friends of the Seekonk Library.
