It’s Drop – In Week at the library Swansea Public Library celebrates Spring Vacation On Tuesday, April 22nd, the library visits Swansea Mall for story hour at 11:00AM. Join us as we read stories in celebration of National Frog Month. And back at the library from 3:00-4:30, Drop-in for our Poem in Your Pocket program for children. Discover the world of poetry and pick out a favorite poem. Make a bookmark or pocket to carry your favorite poem or give one to someone to share. On Wednesday April 23rd, from 12:00-2:00pm, Drop- in for Board Game Bonanza for all ages. The Swansea Public Library has a wide selection of games and puzzles for all ages. From Candyland to Rummikub stop by and enjoy spending time playing your favorite games. And on Wednesday afternoon, It’s Drop- in craft time from 3:00-4:00PM. We are celebrating National Kite Month and making a kite craft for children up to 10 years old. Join us for a fun craft afternoon. Thursday April 24th we are back at the Swansea Mall reading favorite rain forest stories and making a special Toucan craft at 11:00AM. Friday April 25th, 10:30-11:30am, the Library will offer a special Drop-in Earth Day/Arbor Day Story Hour. We will do a recycled craft, and read books about nature and wildlife. We will continue our focus on backyard wildlife from 12:30-2:00pm with Nifty Nature Know-How’s, a program where children will decorate a bird house and also start a vegetable garden by planting seeds. The day will end with the 2nd Amazing Animal Movie Festival from 2:00-5:00pm which will include popcorn and snacks. On Thursday April 24th, the library will celebrate Poem in your Pocket Day all day. Stop by the library and pick your favorite poem or choose one from our collection and carry it with you in a pocket or share it with others. We will have pockets and bookmarks for adults to participate also. Share your favorite poem with the world! It’s all happening on Main Street, in Swansea Village, at the Swansea Public Library.
