Local Lacrosse Club Joins New England Lax Nation
A local Rhode Island Lacrosse club has been invited to join top teams in New England for Spring Season in New Competitive Format.
The mission of Lacrosse Nation is to facilitate and foster close relations between like minded lacrosse clubs. We aim to enhance program offering and experience while complimenting community (town team) lacrosse. We work to build a stronger foundation for the sport of lacrosse by putting first the spirit, honor and tradition of the oldest team sport in North America.
The Aquidneck Cannons Lacrosse Club is proud to be joining Lax Nation this Spring Season. It has always been our mission to support the town programs and to this we find a league that facilitates our practice. We compliment and build on the foundation players receive from their town programs. At Cannons practices, focus is on individual player specific skills, team skills, strategy and overall teamwork and field IQ. Most importantly, the schedule for this select lacrosse program is designed to not conflict with players’ town programs but to build on it-everybody wins!
Unlike most competitive leagues, Lacrosse Nation will facilitate games in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, on a bi-weekly basis using a jamboree format. As a founding member, the Cannons spring season will have less overall travel for families, more games on weekends and the ability for coaches to work with players on a more frequent basis.
