
BERKLEY, MA — A 70-year-old Berkley man was arrested in the murder of a Wareham man this week, authorities announced Friday.

John Witty, 70, allegedly shot John Williams, 70, multiple times. Williams’ body was discovered Tuesday in his home on Glenn Charley Road in Wareham.
Witty will be arraigned later Friday. He was charged with murder.

Police said on Tuesday, they were called called to Williams’ residence for a well-being check. Officers found his body upon entering the home. He was shot “multiple times,” police said.
