Man, 85, Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash In Taunton
The victim, Jose Ferreira, was just feet from his house that sits on the corner.
TAUNTON, MA — An 85-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Taunton Wednesday evening. Officers believe he was in the crosswalk on Middleborough Ave. by Center Street when he was hit.
The victim, Jose Ferreira, was just feet from his house that sits on the corner. The vehicle that struck Ferreira is believed to be a small gray SUV.
A neighbor found Ferreira lying in the road around 5:30 p.m. and called police. He was taken to Morton Hospital with life-threatening injuries and later pronounced dead.
