Men Face Charges In Alleged Construction Site Assault
A Berkeley man and a Salem, NH, man are accused of involvement with an attack that left a 57-year-old man in a coma for five days.

BOSTON, MA — Two men will be arraigned Wednesday in connection with an attack resulting in serious brain trauma suffered by a construction worker. Kevin Medeiros, 56, of Berkeley faces charges of aggravated assault and battery, witness intimidation, and tampering with evidence. Jean Rock Beaulieu, 28, of Salem, NH, faces charges of accessory after the fact to aggravated assault and battery and witness intimidation. The men will be arraigned at Suffolk Superior Court, Suffolk County DA Daniel Conley's office said.
The men are accused of involvement with a May 8 assault that left a 57-year-old man in a coma for five days and suffering from a fractured skull and facial bones, internal bleeding, and traumatic brain injury. A Suffolk County grand jury returned the indictments Dec. 20.
Prosecutors said Medeiros was the nighttime site supervisor at a Copley Place construction site when he and the victim - who was showing signs of intoxication - began shouting at each other. Medeiros allegedly punched the victim in the face, causing the man to fall and hit his head on concrete.

Medeiros and another supervisor, Beaulieu, allegedly moved the body and told a colleague the victim had slipped and fallen. The men's alleged actions, however, were caught on a security camera.
