New Bedford Child Goes Missing After He's Dropped Off at Shuttered School
A 5-year-old boy dropped off at a New Bedford elementary school Friday morning went missing, as the school was closed for the day.

NEW BEDFORD, MA — A 5-year-old boy who went missing Friday morning was found safe.
The boy was dropped off at Hathaway Elementary School, but the school was not in session, police said.
A witness reported seeing the child "visibly upset" at the school entrance.

Officers and K9 units were dispatched to the city to search for the boy.
A few hours later, he returned home, police said.
