Poetry Writing Workshop

The
Swansea Public Library will hold a Poetry Writing Workshop with poet Nancy
Boardman on Tuesday, November 26th 
from 6:00-8:00PM.   Join us as we read, write and
discuss poetry . This workshop will include poetic form and technique
(line break, imagery, sound, and more). 
We will discuss different types of  
poems, practice writing  and  provide supportive critiques of poems
brought to class (please bring poetry you have written from the early
years).  A reading packet will
be distributed.

Nancy Boardman is Swansea’s own Poet Laureate. 
She wears many hats including teacher, editor, and historian.  She was the editor of the Spectator weekly
column, The Poetry Corner and also
the editor and publisher of the Swansea Record. 
Nancy has contributed to poetry journals and anthologies and has been a
guest artist at many local schools and organizations.
