Rhode Island Man Charged in Swansea Murder

Police arrested a Warren, RI, man for allegedly murdering a Swansea woman last year.

David P. Sousa, 98 South Cutler St., Warren, was charged with being a fugitive from justice in Massachusetts after Bristol County issued a warrant for murder and violating an abuse prevention order. He is awaiting extrication to Massachusetts, reported the Providence Journal.

Sousa allegedly strangled Lisa Mello, 51, in her Swansea home on Nov. 24, 2012.
