RI Man Charged In Armed Robbery Of Seekonk Wendy's
The man was found shortly after the alleged robbery attempting to hide under a car.

SEEKONK, MA – A Rhode Island man was arrested early Monday morning and charged with the armed robbery of a Seekonk Wendy's, police said. Todd Johnson, 57, of Pawtucket, allegedly approached a Wendy's employee in the parking lot of the Highland Avenue restaurant and ordered the employee back inside while holding a pistol.
He did not get any money and fled toward East Providence, Seekonk police said. Officers from Seekonk and East Providence and an East Providence K-9 unit tracked the him to Warren Avenue. While there, police said Johnson was reportedly seen climbing a fence near the Evergreen Nursing Home.
Johnson then allegedly returned to the Wendy's parking lot, where he was taken into custody by East Providence police while attempting to hide under a car. Officers found an air pistol near the Evergreen Nursing Home, which is believed to be connected to the robbery, police said.

Seekonk police have charged Johnson with armed robbery while masked, assault with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping while armed with a firearm and intimidation of a witness. East Providence police also charged him with being a fugitive from justice.
Johnson will be arraigned in Rhode Island and held pending extradition to Massachusetts, according to police.
