Seekonk Artist Open Studio Tour

Seekonk Artist Studio Tour

The newly formed Seekonk Artist Network will hold its first

Seekonk Open Studio Tour on

Saturday, October 12th, 12:00 – 7:00 P.M., and Sunday, October 13th,

12:00 – 3:00 P.M

The Open Studio concept allows the public to take a peek into

the world of local working artists.

Visitors can not only see or hear the creative work that is passionately

produced right here in our town, but they can also meet the artist to ask

questions, and to understand the story, motivation, and technique behind their

work.

16 local artists will be represented in the tour, showing at

6 venues in Seekonk, situated on Walker Street, Read Street, West River Street,

and Thompson Drive. Studios will be marked with the Seekonk Open Studio logo on

the mailbox.

There will be paintings, prints, photography, drawings, jigsaw

puzzles, sculpture, pottery, and sea glass jewelry on display and for sale

throughout the weekend. And as a special attraction, two of the venues will be

hosting free musical performances, featuring Guitar Tunes, Broadway Vocals, a

French Cabaret group, and a Renaissance Music Ensemble.

For more information about the artists, schedule of the

musical performances, and a map of the tour, look for informational fliers at

the Seekonk Library, Seekonk Town Hall, and local businesses that support the

arts. You can also e-mail SeekonkArtistNetwork@gmail.com
