Seekonk Bank Robbed; Police Search For Suspect

Police said a man who robbed Santander Bank in Benny's Plaza should be considered armed and dangerous.

SEEKONK, MA – Police in Seekonk are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery of a local bank Monday morning. Officers responded to Santander Bank in Benny's Plaza around 9:55 a.m. after the man fled.

Police said the man entered the bank, passed a note to the teller and demanded money. The amount stolen has not yet been determined, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male, possibly of Hispanic descent, approximately 5-foot-8 to six feet tall, in his late 20s to mid-30s and wearing glasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray cargo pants. He was last seen walking eastbound on Central Avenue toward Bakers Corner.
