Weed Processing Materials Found In Seekonk Home: Police
Police blocked off a section of County Street due to the potential hazard posed by processing materials.

SEEKONK, MA – Police blocked off a section of County Street Monday after materials believed to be used to process marijuana were found inside a home, according to a press release. Officers responded to the home around 7:44 a.m. for a report of a suspicious person.
They did not find the person but noticed an open window, police said. A dog was sent through in case the person had entered the apartment, but no one was found inside. Police said the handler went in to retrieve the dog and saw items that appeared to be used for processing marijuana.
Based on what the K-9 officer saw, police secured the perimeter of the home and obtained a warrant to search it, according to the release. Boston police officers and DEA agents were called in to evaluate the scene and ensure it was safe for processing.
