Seekonk Power Outages: Crash Leaves 500+ In The Dark

SEEKONK, MA – Power outages in Seekonk are impacting over 500 people, National Grid said. According to the company's outage map, 527 customers are in the dark in Seekonk, 51 customers are impacted in Rehoboth and fewer than five are affected in Swansea.

National Grid serves 6,576 customers in Seekonk.

The outages are the result of a Tuesday morning crash involving a pickup truck that brought down a telephone pole near the Seekonk-Rehoboth line on Route 6, NBC reported.

National Grid is working to restore power.
