Girl, 11, Dies After Choking on Marshmallow
Eleven-year-old Azriel Estabrooks of Somerset died a week after choking on a marshmallow at a birthday party, her mother said.
SOMERSET, MA — A Somerset girl died this week after reportedly choking on a marshmallow at a birthday party.
The mother of 11-year-old Azriel Estabrooks told WCVB the incident happened Saturday at a friend's house. She said her daughter passed out and hit her head.
Azriel was transported to Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, R.I. and died Thursday night, according to WCVB.

She was a student at North Elementary School in Somerset.
"The family is grieving the loss of their beautiful little girl," reads a statement on a fundraiser for her funeral. "She will always be with them in their hearts."
