Southeastern Mass. Power Outages: 20,000+ Go Dark
A large outage affected Seekonk, Attleboro, Plainville and Rehoboth Friday. Service was restored that night.

SEEKONK, MA — More than 20,000 lost power in the Seekonk/Attleboro region Friday night. The outages were first reported around 4 p.m.; service was restored to most of those affected a few hours later. As of 8 p.m., there were just 25 outages — all in Seekonk.
Seekonk police said National Grid reported "major outage," the cause of which was unknown.
Attleboro, Plainville, Seekonk, Rehoboth, and more towns were among those affected.
