Swansea Man Who Died During Police Standoff Identified
Police said the former marine threatening his ex-girlfriend.

SWANSEA, MA — A Swansea man who died Sunday during a police standoff has been identified.

Authorities said the man, a former Marine, shot himself after threatening his ex-girlfriend and another person on Nichols Street Sunday night.
He was identified as 24-year-old Brandon Leonardo, according to WPRI.

Police said they responded to a call from the woman who said Leonardo threatened her and another person, fired a shot in the air, then took off running. He was reportedly seen with a rifle. Multiple police agencies responded to the scene.
Police said Leonardo returned to the home and shot himself.
