Swansea's Bomback Delivers for UMD in Comeback Win over Brandeis
UMass-Dartmouth will play Southern Maine in the Little East Conference Tournament Wednesday.
The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's baseball team came from behind to defeat host Brandeis, 7-5, in a non-conference match at Stein Diamond in Waltham, May 1. UMass Dartmouth staged a decisive four-run rally in the top of the sixth.
Sophomore left fielder Luke Bomback delieved a two-run single after the Corsairs fell behind, 4-3.
Bomback was hitting .231 with 28 hits in 32 games, 1 homer, six double and 17 RBI.

The Corsairs earned a spot in Wednesday's Little East Conference tournament with a split against the University of Southern Maine Sunday. After losing the first game, 16-3, the Corsairs ralled for a 9-2 win in the second game, finishing the season at 15-21 overall and 6-8 in the league. UMD will now return to Southern Maine for the Little East Conference Tournament Wednesday.
