Tabletop Day at the Swansea Public Library

The Swansea Public Library will celebrate Tabletop Day on Saturday April 5th from 10:00am-5:00Pm at the Swansea Community Center located at 260 Ocean Grove Avenue. .  Board Game lovers of all ages are invited to bring their favorite game, learn a new one, or play one from the library collection.  There will be a Magic:The Gathering  workshop at 11:00AM, along with tabletop displays of different board games.  A Magic Tournament in the afternoon is also planned.  Bring your Scrabble, Dominoes, Rummikub or any game you like to play.  Whether it’s UNO or Settlers of Cataan, Gloom or Apples to Apples, there is a game for you. It’s an entire day dedicated to Board Games of all kind.
The fine folks at StillPoint Comics will be on hand to introduce and  teach Heroclix along with highlights of some of the newer card games.
This event is free and open to the public.  Refreshments will be provided but bring your own lunch.
International TableTop Day is a celebration for all the fans of tabletop gaming. A single day where the whole world is brought together in a common purpose of spending time together and having fun. We hope you find the resources you need — to connect new fans to experienced game players in their community all in one place.
International TableTop Day 2013 was a huge success -- 3,123 gaming events were held in 64 countries worldwide, including every state and province in North America and every continent on the planet (yes, even researchers in Antarctica were playing).   International TableTop Day 2014 should be even bigger!
