Take a Bite out of Hunger with Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk!

Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk is conducting our First Annual Food & Fund Drive to benefit the Rhode Island Food Bank from now through December 12, 2014. Our goal is to fill a Honda Ridgeline with canned goods and other non-perishable food items to help local families in need this holiday season. We invite all our customers and friends to stop by Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk and drop off canned goods, or make a monetary donation.

Wondering what to donate? Here’s a list of the non-perishable items that food banks need most:

Protein

* Peanut butter

* Tuna

* Canned and dried beans

* Canned chili, soups and stews

Carbohydrates

* Nutritious breakfast cereals

* Pasta

* White and Brown rice

* Boxed macaroni & cheese

* Granola bars

* Cheese & cracker packages

Fruits & Vegetables

* Canned fruits and vegetables

* Dried fruit

Condiments

* Tomato sauce

* Jams and jelly

* Extra virgin olive oil

Note: Please only donate food that is in good condition and in date–Rhode Island Food Bank cannot accept foods more than 6 months past their expiration date.
