Tiverton, RI Woman Killed In Swansea Collision With Dump Truck

Swansea police said 81-year-old Claudia Desiletes, of Tiverton, R.I., was pronounced dead at Rhode Island Hospital on Friday.

SWANSEA, MA — A Tiverton, R.I. woman died in a two-car crash at the intersection of Route 6 and Maple Avenue in Swansea on Friday . Swansea police identified 81-year-old Claudette Desilets as the victim who died when her 1999 Toyota Corolla collided with a Ford F476 dump truck.

Brent Botelho, 39, of Swansea, was the driver of the truck. Police said no charges have been filed.

Swansea police said Swansea Ambulance took Desilets from the crash scene to Rhode Island Hospital where she was pronounced dead Friday afternoon. Traffic was diverted from the scene for more than two hours during the initial investigation and clearing of debris.
