Vacation Week at the Swansea Public Library

The Swansea Public Library will be celebrating February Vacation week with fun activities all week long.  On Tuesday, February 18th, the day begins with Story Hour from 10:30AM-11:30AM.  Join us for stories and crafts for ages 5 and under.  From 1:00-3:00PM the library will hold Board Game Bonanza.  Bring your own games or play one of ours.  The library has classic games including Uno, Rummikub, The Game of Life and many more.  We will also have Lego’s available during that time.  In the afternoon we will have a Flowers in Winter Craft  from 3:30-4:30.  Make a beautiful flower craft that will remind you of spring.  Children of all ages can participate in these events. 

On Wednesday, Feb 19th the library day will begin with a Story and Craft Hour, 10:30-11:30AM,  followed by Book Bingo from 12:00-2:00.  Play Book Bingo and win candy prizes.  From 2:30-3:30, we will build a Marble Run.  Help us build the biggest maze for marbles and see how fast they can travel.  And from 4:00-5:00PM we will have Comic Book Bonanza.  Bring your favorite comics for a comic book show and tell.  Share with us your favorite comic book and draw your own comic book hero. 

Thursday morning begins with Story Hour at 10:30AM followed by Library Winter Olympics from 12:30-2:00.  Try your hand at the Olympic ring toss, Mitten throw, the Marshmallow catapult contest, the marble game and table hockey.  We will end the day with Art in the Afternoon, our paint by numbers craft from 2:30-4:00PM.   

Friday is the 3rd Annual Swansea Public Library Film Fest.  We will show movies all day starting with Despicable Me at 10:30, Hotel Transylvania at 12:30 and Nanny McPhee at 2:30PM.  Popcorn and refreshments will be served.
