"Value of the Book" is a fun, interactive program hosted by Ray Rickman, former state representative, president of the Rhode Island Black Heritage Society, will offer his thoughts on book values drawing on his years of experience as a long-time rare book dealer in Providence and the former host of “Bestsellers” on Rhode Island Public Television.
In an Antiques Roadshow-type format, Mr. Rickman will cover what makes a book valuable, sharing personal and historic stories which both entertain and educate. Attendees are welcomed to bring up to three books which will be appraised by Mr. Rickman free of charge as an instruction tool for his trade.
