Violent home invasion in Seekonk: 2 suspects arrested after chase; homeowner assaulted.

SEEKONK, MA — Two men were arrested in Seekonk Tuesday after assaulting a homeowner and leading police on a nearly hour-long chase, authorities said. Joshua Allard, 18, of Attleboro, and David Allard, 23, of Providence, R.I., were charged with a host of crimes.
Police said the ordeal started Tuesday afternoon when a man and his wife arrived home to find the Allards inside. David Allard attacked the man and threatened the woman with a knife, police said. They then hopped in a vehicle but were stopped by an officer, police said. Joshua Allard, the driver, was taken into custody while David Allard fled the vehicle and led officers an a 45-minute foot chase in nearby woods, police said.

Both suspects were held on $25,000 bail pending an arraignment.
