The Swansea Public Library welcomes back geocaching master
Tyler Clark, on Saturday December 21
from 1:00-3:00PMÂ for a winter program
which will include a talk on geocaching basics and letterboxing. Mr. Clark will teach the fundamentals of winter
geocaching using GPS and other navigational devices to locate items. Geocaching
is high tech treasure hunting. Players try to locate containers, called
geocaches, using GPS-enabled devices.Â
Learn the ins and outs of geocaching and strategies for finding a cache
as well as how to hide one yourself. Â Discover
the fun of geocaching! Tyler and friends
will also discuss LETTERBOXING, an intriguing pastime combining
navigational skills and rubber stamp artistry in a charming treasure hunt style
outdoor quest. This is a great Swansea
Public Library Family Fun event.
