Heavy Flames Return To Apartment Complex Woman Crashed Into
The woman was identified as 72-year-old Judith Mauretti. A passenger in her car was in critical condition.

FALL RIVER, MA — An older woman died after she crashed into an apartment complex and sparked a large fire, displacing dozens Tuesday morning. The 72-year-old Fall River woman, identified as Judith Mauretti, hit a gas line when she drove into the complex, fire officials said.
A passenger who was in the car at the time in critical condition, the Bristol County District Attorney's Office said. A firefighter suffered heat exhaustion working to put out the fire, but there were no other injuries reported.
The six-alarm fire displaced as many as 45 residents who lived at the Four Winds Apartment complex, according to officials. The building roof appeared to collapse damaging several units.

The crash occurred around 9:40 a.m. Some 12 hours later, heavy flames brought responders back to the other side of the complex.
