• Sharon Ends Flock Safety Contract Over Privacy, Data Concerns (patch.com) — Sharon officials have decided not to renew the town's contract with Flock Safety, ending the use of automated license plate reader cameras after less than a year over privacy and data concerns. Police are working with the company to deactivate and remove the devices, which had aided some investigations, while Sharon joins several other Massachusetts communities backing away from the technology.
