Annie's Book Stop Closing After 27 Years

Annie's Book Stop, a fixture in Sharon for 27 years, is closing.

"We'll miss seeing all the readers' faces," the owners said in a statement. "(We) wish to thank all (our) patrons for their support over the years."

The store will close for good May 17.

Merry Cutler said the decision to shutter the store was based in part on their lease expiring.

There will soon be markdowns on current inventory. The store will still accept some books for credit, Cutler said.
