Antisemitic Graffiti Found At Sharon High School, Police Investigating
Sharon police are investigating after antisemitic graffiti, including a swastika, was discovered Tuesday.

SHARON, MA — Sharon police are investigating after antisemitic graffiti, including a swastika, was discovered Tuesday in a boy’s bathroom at Sharon High School.
The graffiti also included profane language directed at Israel and other political messages, Superintendent Peter J. Botelho and Principal Kristen Keenan said in a message to the school community. The vandalism was found while the high school was serving as an Election Day polling location, though officials did not say when it was written or whether it was connected to voting activity.
The superintendent’s office learned about the graffiti from a community member and contacted high school administrators, who searched the school’s bathrooms. Administrators found the bathroom shown in a photograph of the vandalism.

“Antisemitism, hateful symbols, discriminatory language, and expressions of hatred have no place at Sharon High School or in our community,” Botelho and Keenan said. “We strongly condemn this vandalism and recognize the pain and concern it may cause, particularly for our Jewish students, families, and staff.”
Counselors and administrators were expected to be available Wednesday for students seeking support. Anyone who witnessed the vandalism or has information was asked to contact Keenan or another member of the high school administration.
A similar incident was reported at Sharon High School in March 2021, when a small swastika written in pencil was found on a bathroom wall, according to Boston 25 News.
