One Book and Sharon Pluralism Network Partner For a Movie Presentation

One Book and Sharon Pluralism Network partner for a movie presentation.

One Book, One Town 2012: Sharon Reads Together is partnering with The Sharon Pluralism Network in presenting a film at 4 p.m. Sunday as part of this year's selection celebrating Michael Chabon's Pulitzer Prize winning novel, "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay."

Due to licensing restrictions, One Book and the pluralism network cannot announce the name of the movie, although they can provide other information.

The film won the 2007 Cannes Jury Prize and was an Academy Award nominee.  The film is based on an autobiographical graphic novel and is therefore presented as an animated movie, but this is no cartoon. This movie contains many similarities to Joe Kavalier, as one learns of a young girl's coming of age in Iran during the revolution, her family sending her to freedom in France, and her ultimate inability to ever return home yet all the while remembering where she came from.
