Sharon Historical Society House Tour
A summary of the Sharon Historical Society's upcoming House Tour.
The Sharon Historical Society's annual House Tour will be May 19th 12-4, rain or shine. The Society is a volunteer, non-profit organization that collects, preserves, shares and interprets the unique history of the Town of Sharon. To that end, it needs public support to continue its work and to keep its Museum on High Street open.
The widely popular house tour is one way for the Society to raise money and also share some of the history of the Town. This year six properties are on the tour.
The historically signifiant Zebulon Waters house, built circa 1730 is undergoing an extensive renovation project and being restored to 18th century standards. Deborah Sampson, the Commonwealth's State Heroine, lived here for a time.
