All comic book, popular culture, and graphic arts fans are to attend Sharon's first Comic-Con as part of One Book's programming saluting "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay."
The convention takes place at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Sharon Public Library.
Headlining the event will be cartoonist Mat Brown of Building 19 fame and Devin Quin of Dead Fish Comics, who will present "The History and Art of Comics" as well as share many of their own comics. There will also be several comic books displays and tables, including some by local comic enthusiast and Sharon Patch Editor Michael Gelbwasser.

Comic books, cartoon art and superheroes figure prominently in Michael Chabon's novel. Come learn more about the central place that comics have occupied as an entertainment form in American popular culture. Bring comics to show off and share, mingle with other fans, and check out each other's collections and discuss the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel.
