Plants can incur a lot of damage during the winter months if one does not protect them. Wind and cold are extremely harsh on the plants. To protect them, one can use protective sprays. These sprays will ensure that one's plants will not perspire. Also, don't forget to spray against deer. Winter food shortages can force deer to look to plants as food, destroying them and even killing them.

When the heavy snows begin, there are two things to keep in mind to protect the lawn and home. Be sure to invest in a good snow rake to prevent against home damage. The heavy snows need to be raked out of gutters immediately. Once that snow hits, de-ice the walk ways and driveways. Pay close attention to the ice melt  purchased. Some ice melts can do major damage to a lawn.
