2.Β Did you know that residents in Sharon who would like to launch a boat on Lake Massapoag can do so from the town boat ramp at the corner of Beach and Pond Streets? It's true, according to the Sharon Recreation Department. All boats launched need to be 60 horsepower or less, andΒ residents can obtain a boat launch parking pass from the Recreation Department. The boat launch passes are valid for the calendar year.Β Please visitΒ sharonbeach.cityhallsystems.comΒ to purchase passes. 3. History buffs take note:Β The Sharon Historical Society's annual House Tour will be May 19 from 12-4 p.m., rain or shine, according to Sharon blogger David G. Nelson.Β 

4.Β The Friends of the Sharon Public Library were busy Tuesday afternoon organizing the thousands of books that will be for sale at theirΒ annual used book saleΒ next week.

5.Β Demolition of the old Sacred Heart Building in Deborah Sampson ParkΒ is set to begin this week.Β The demolition is being funded through the Community Preservation Committee, which will use town and state money. The cost of the demolition will be about $68,000.
