Deborah Samson vs. Goliath: Will Sharon Make History as First Town to Call for Surgeon General Report on Mercury Health Risks?

Come to Sharon Town Meeting and stay for Article 24, likely Tuesday night May 6th, to cast your vote on shining some sunshine on the biggest hidden health issue in Sharon, in Massachusetts, and in the United States.  Other nations have figured this out and have banned dental amalgam and restrict its use or warn people and require informed written consent for its use.  The FDA gives us labels, no warnings, no number to call, no written informed consent for installation of a medical device.

Our politicians in DC are too busy fighting about health care insurance, financing and ideology instead of fighting for health.

Our regulatory agencies are doing what they were set up to do, approve industry products.  There is a logjam, a huge gap on amalgam.  Unlike the AMA, the ADA is a commercial and trade association, with 83 patents in the last 38 years, and it acts to protect its commercial and trade interests.

Whatever you believe about the health risks or safety of amalgam, given that new information shows in damage to people with certain gene types, do you want you and your dentist to be the last to know?

We ask everyone to deny the fiction that national issues do not impact us locally, and what happens in Sharon has to stay in Sharon.  Imagine if Deborah Samson had put up her heels and knit, instead of fighting for her rights, and all of those after her.
