The Boyden Library, the Foxborough Planning Board, and the Foxborough Conservation Commission are sponsoring a talk by Kevin Gardner, author of The Granite Kiss on Monday June 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the Boyden Library.
Kevin will explain how and why New England came to acquire its thousands of miles of stone walls, the ways in which they and other dry stone structures were built, how their styles emerged and changed over time, and their significance to the famous New England landscape. A question and answer period will be included.

During his talk, Kevin builds a miniature wall on a tabletop in front of him, using tiny stones from a five-gallon bucket. Since the publication of The Granite Kiss, Kevin has presented his program at dozens of historical societies, bookstores, and town libraries all over New England.
