
Sharon Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates for an assistant teacher position at Sharon High School. The assistant teacher will support students both in the regular education classes and academic lab by implementing instructional strategies and keeping students focused and on task. Primarily responsible for delivering product to customers operating a straight truck 24 feet long or smaller.
Primary Responsibilities:

- Deliver the merchandise to the customers (residential and commercial) in a prompt, safe, business-like manner; top priority should be given to taking care of the customer’s needs
- Sort freight, load truck and verify packages against the manifest according to route sequence using all equipment necessary including pallet jacks, hand trucks, pallets, skids and hand held scanners
- Handle all deliveries for the day and turns all delivery receipts to the appropriate supervisor at the end of the shift
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle being operated daily prior to leaving from and returning to the Staples Delivery Operation
- Use a hand held package scanner in the delivery process as required
- Obtain accurate electronic or paper POD (Proof of Delivery) for each delivery
- Drive the truck in a safe, lawful and courteous manner always remembering that the people will judge us by the way you handle the vehicle
- Conduct business in a professional and courteous manner
- Keep the truck and associated equipment in proper working order; report any problems to the Supervisor; keep the cab and cargo area clean and free of clutter
- Process all non-delivered and customer returns following correct procedures, upon return to the SDO at the end of the day
- Submit all required POD’s, non-delivery, return information and reports to the appropriate Supervisor daily
- Regular attendance
- Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates in a cooperative, constructive manner
- Pickup and accept merchandise returns and/or damages
- When help assigned (Driver or Driver Helper), maintain responsibility for truck and equipment; lead daily completion of work and report questions/issues to SDO Supervisor right away
Qualifications
Basic:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain a D.O.T. medical card
- 1 - 3 years of driving experience in a service oriented position
Must be at least 21 years of age - Valid driver’s license (no “major moving violations” as described in the employment application supplement and in accordance with applicable state law)
- Math and mechanical aptitude
- Able to navigate and read a map
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must be a team player and able to work well with minimum supervision
- Must be able to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds
- Must be willing to wear a Staples uniform and present a clean, neat appearance
Preferred:
- PC and Microsoft Office knowledge
Seasonal Farm Worker at Moose Hill
Moose Hill’s Community Supported Agriculture program provides fresh, organic produce to over 300 families weekly. This position’s responsibilities include tending, harvesting, boxing and loading vegetables four mornings a week. (approximately 10-25 hours/week). Weeding is done once a week. Farm workers will be part of a team that also facilitates harvesting with shareholders and their children. Must be willing to work hard, communicate effectively and serve as a role model for shareholders. June through August with a September option as well.
Shredding Specialist at Cintas
Cintas is seeking a Shredding Specialist. This position will be responsible for destroying customer's confidential documents by operating a shredding and baling machine. The position will work independently in a warehouse. The candidate should possess or have the ability to learn to operate warehouse machinery and equipment including a forklift.
