Mediterranean Taste Back at Sharon Beach For Second Summer Season

Sharon's Veteran's Memorial Park and Beach concession stand will offer a taste of the Mediterranean for the second straight summer.

Selectmen voted Tuesday night to exercise the option on lease.

Safai will pay Sharon $3,000 rent for the summer, up from $2,500 in 2011, Recreation Director Brett MacGowan said today.

Safai owned and operated the in downtown Stoughton for several months, starting in the spring of 2010. .

In Sharon last summer, Safai offered chicken kabobs, dolma and other Mediterranean cuisine -- some, his own recipes -- in addition to standard fare such as cheeseburgers and chicken wings.
