To attain scouting’s highest honor, a scout must earn 21 merit badges, provide leadership in his unit, and complete a service project that will benefit the community. The beneficiary for both of the scouts’ projects was Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary. Ian Lewis established an interpretive trail in the red maple swamp and produced a brochure to educate people on the significance of the Red Maple Swamp environment within Massachusetts. Ethan built and installed bat and bird houses as well as created an educational brochure on the dangers of mosquitoes and how people can help to reduce the population where they live.
The scouts became the first two members of the crew to earn the Eagle award.
