Walk It: Upcoming Hikes on Sharon's Trails

Get your walking shoes on.

The Sharon Friends of Conservation has a number of scheduled walks along many of the town's trails. These walks are all less than two miles, and give participants a chance to explore the woods and wildlife around them that often goes unnoticed. 

The following is a list of upcoming events, as listed on the Sharon Friends of Conservation website: 

Sunday, June 8, at 2 p.m. 
Massapoag Trail 3 (Massapoag and Devil’s brooks) walk. 1.1 mile round, easy-moderate. Park at Mann’s Pond on Billings St. Info: 781-784-4625 (Kurt).

Saturday, June 21, at 2 p.m. 
Massapoag Trail 6 (Billings and stream trail loops) walk. 0.8 mile round, easy/some uphill, park at Robs Lane. (North Main, to Glendale, to Glenview, rt. turn onto Robs Lane) Info: 781-784-7972 (Alice).

Sunday, July 13, at 2 p.m.
Sandy Ridge trail walk. ~1.5 mile, easy. Park at far end of Sandy Ridge Circle. (South Main, to Farnham Rd, to Sandy Ridge Circle) Shuttle back to cars. Info: 781-784-4625 (Kurt).

Sunday, September 14, at 2 p.m. 
Massapoag Trail (East St. to Devil’s Rock) walk. ~1.5 miles round trip, easy. History of the Deborah Sampson Gannett farm and natural history of the area. Park at 300 East St. Info: 781-784-5705 (Dan).
