Shrewsbury police say they quickly confiscated his firearms, contacted Millbury police, and will conduct an internal investigation while emphasizing their commitment to transparency and community trust.
2. Shrewsbury Sees Fewer Home Sales, Higher Prices In March (patch.com) — Shrewsbury’s housing market tightened for buyers in March, with home sales dropping 25% while the median price surged to about $781,000. At the same time, listings jumped nearly 48%, giving buyers more options even as prices remain steep and the market still favors sellers.
3. One person killed in Shrewsbury crash (boston25news.com) — A person died Thursday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on Hartford Turnpike in Shrewsbury, which shut the road for several hours between South Street and Centech Boulevard. Police say the Hyundai driver later died at a hospital, while the Mercedes driver suffered minor injuries and the investigation into the cause continues.
