• Mother Duck Reunited With Ducklings After Shrewsbury Rescue (patch.com) — Shrewsbury residents can smile knowing local firefighters recently rescued a family of ducklings that fell into a storm drain, carefully lifting each one out and reuniting them with their mother. The Shrewsbury Fire Department shared photos of the successful rescue, highlighting both the crew’s quick response and the town’s appreciation for compassionate first responders.    

• Shrewsbury Police Logged 4,200 Incidents In April, Down From 2025 (patch.com) — Shrewsbury residents can see how busy local police were in April, with more than 4,200 incidents logged, including medical calls, traffic stops, and well-being checks. Arrests and total calls dipped slightly from April 2025, while criminal summonses rose, and police emphasized that each statistic reflects real moments of service to the community.
