SHREWSBURY, MA — A popular community event is returning to Shrewsbury this week, bringing food trucks, live music and family-friendly activities to Maple Avenue Fields.
The Shrewsbury Food Truck Festival will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on June 5 at Maple Avenue Fields, 176 Maple Ave. Admission is free and open to the public.
Organized by the Shrewsbury Recreation Department, the festival will feature 18 food and beverage vendors, live music from the Tipton Rock Band and activities for children.
The Recreation Department said it's expecting anywhere between two and three thousand people.
"Food Truck Festival is such a special event as it welcomes in the summer season, inviting people to get outside and enjoy spending time with loved ones while supporting local businesses," said Carly Morin, Shrewsbury's Recreation Events Coordinator. "We hope the community comes out to enjoy this beloved tradition and we really look forward to seeing everyone there!"
Food and beverage vendors scheduled to attend include Anzio's Brick Oven Pizza, Berrysweets, Bird's Nest Italian Street Food, Trolley Dogs, Braised, Broken Creek Vineyard, Clover Road Brewing Co., Cousins Maine Lobster, DonutNV, Juniper Farms Ice Cream, Kona Ice, Lalo's Mexican, Potato Potato, Say Cheese!, Simmer & Spice, Sterling Street Brewery, Uhlman's Ice Cream and Wheat + Water Crafted Doughs.
Event sponsors include Clinton Savings Bank, School of Rock Northborough and Worcester Sand & Stone.
