The institute is reserved for law enforcement leaders who have already completed FBI-LEEDA’s Trilogy training, according to the organization. Participants work through issues facing police executives and share practices with leaders from agencies across the country.

Shrewsbury police said Anderson’s completion of the program reflects the department’s focus on education, innovation and professional development.

The department also pointed to the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing, whose recommendations were organized around six pillars, including officer training and education.

Anderson has served as Shrewsbury’s police chief since 2020, according to the town. He joined the Shrewsbury Police Department in 1994.
