SHREWSBURY, MA — An oil spill prompted a cleanup response on Thursday afternoon near a busy Shrewsbury roadway.
Shrewsbury Engine 3 responded to the area of 263 Cherry St., near Route 20, where firefighters and the Shrewsbury Department of Public Works worked together to clean up the small spill, according to the Shrewsbury Fire Department.
No storm drains or waterways were affected, the department said.
Cherry Street at Route 20 was expected to remain closed until the cleanup was complete.
