SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury’s housing market saw more sales activity in June while prices moved lower from a year earlier.
The town recorded 43 closed sales in June, up 34.4 percent year over year, while the median sales price fell 7.7 percent to $775,000. There were 50 homes for sale, down 2 percent from the same period last year.
The local numbers came as statewide single-family home sales also increased in June, according to the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS. Across Massachusetts, closed single-family sales rose 7 percent from June 2025 while the median single-family sales price fell 1.4 percent to $715,000, according to the association’s June 2026 housing report.
The statewide report also showed new listings increasing year over year, which MAR President Kristen Keegan said was a sign that the market is moving toward greater balance for buyers.
