Electric System Survey Begins Monday In Shrewsbury

SHREWSBURY, MA — Contractors will begin surveying portions of Shrewsbury's electric system Monday as part of a project expected to continue through the end of September.

Davey Resource Group crews will work around SELCO infrastructure on the west side of town, primarily near Route 9, as well as in the Old Mill Road, Lexington Road, Olympia Avenue, Plainfield, Elm Street, Beach Road, North and South Quinsigamond, and Harrington Avenue areas.

The survey will help SELCO improve its outage response and maintain the safety and reliability of the electric system, according to the utility.

The Old Mill Road work will extend from Maple Avenue to Harrington Avenue.

No service interruptions are expected and contractors will not need to enter homes. Residents may see crews working near roads and along SELCO infrastructure in the project areas.
