SHREWSBURY, MA — A new South Asian grocery store is preparing to open on Boston Turnpike.
Apna Bazar Farmers Market will open at 539-571 Boston Turnpike, according to the company. The company has not announced an opening date.
The store plans to carry Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi groceries, including fresh produce, spices, rice, atta flour, halal meat, frozen foods, snacks, sweets and dairy products.
The company said its team is preparing the store and will share the opening announcement, product updates and special offers at a later date.
Owner and operator Romy Selhi told What Now Boston that the business is slated to open in October. The opening was previously projected for June.
The company is now describing the store as "coming soon" and directing customers to follow its social media pages for opening information, product updates and special offers.
